Über Musik-App oder Dateien-App

Songs, die analysiert werden können

  • DRM-freie Audiodateien, die lokal in der Musik-App auf deinem iPhone gespeichert sind
  • Audiodateien in einem verknüpften Ordner aus der Dateien-App (lokal auf dem Gerät)
  • Songs, die von deinem Computer in die Musik-App synchronisiert wurden
  • Songs, die im iTunes Store gekauft und auf deinem Gerät gespeichert sind
  • Gängige Formate ohne DRM (z. B. MP3, AAC/M4A, WAV)
  • Nicht unterstützt: Apple-Music-Streaming (Abo-Titel), nur in iCloud verfügbare Songs und DRM-geschützte Inhalte.

Eigene Musik hinzufügen

  • Beide Wege: Die Playlist erscheint im Tab Playlists. Vor dem Abspielen auf Analyse Playlist tippen.
  • Musik-App — Playlist auf dem iPhone erstellen.
  • Dateien-App — in Beatrunner Pro auf Import aus Dateien-App tippen und einen Ordner wählen.

Über die Dateien-App

Ordner mit Audiodateien verknüpfen

  1. Speichere Audiodateien lokal auf deinem iPhone (z. B. unter „Auf meinem iPhone“ in der Dateien-App)
  2. In Beatrunner Pro: Tippe auf „Aus Dateien-App importieren“ und wähle einen Ordner
  3. Beatrunner Pro öffnen — die Playlist erscheint im Tab Playlists als Importiert
  4. Vor dem Abspielen auf Analyse Playlist tippen
  • DRM-geschützte und nur in der Cloud verfügbare Dateien werden nicht unterstützt.

Über die Musik-App

Vom Computer

  1. Öffne die Music-App auf dem Mac oder iTunes unter Windows und erstelle eine Playlist
  2. Füge deine DRM-freien Dateien zu dieser Playlist hinzu (z. B. MP3, AAC/M4A, WAV)
  3. Verbinde dein iPhone und synchronisiere diese Playlist auf dein Gerät
    • Mac: Finder → iPhone auswählen → Tab „Musik“ → Sync aktivieren, Playlist wählen → Übernehmen
    • Windows: iTunes → Gerät auswählen → Musik → Playlist wählen → Synchronisieren
  4. Öffne Beatrunner Pro — die Playlist erscheint im Tab Playlists
  5. Vor dem Abspielen auf Analyse Playlist tippen

Bereits in der Musik-App

  1. Öffne die Musik-App auf deinem iPhone und erstelle eine Playlist
  2. Songs aus deiner Mediathek in der Musik-App hinzufügen — lokal auf dem Gerät (nicht aus der Dateien-App)
  3. Öffne Beatrunner Pro — die Playlist erscheint im Tab Playlists
  4. Vor dem Abspielen auf Analyse Playlist tippen
  • Audiodateien in der Dateien-App? Nutze oben „Über die Dateien-App“.

iTunes Store-Käufe

  1. Öffne die Musik-App auf deinem iPhone
  2. Gehe zu Mediathek → Gekauft (oder finde deine gekauften Songs)
  3. Lade Titel herunter, die noch nicht auf deinem Gerät sind (nur wenn ein Cloud-Symbol angezeigt wird)
  4. Erstelle eine Playlist und füge diese Songs hinzu
  5. Öffne Beatrunner Pro — die Playlist erscheint im Tab Playlists
  6. Vor dem Abspielen auf Analyse Playlist tippen

Gut zu wissen

  • Bei iTunes-Store-Käufen: Wenn ein Song ein Cloud-Symbol zeigt, ist er noch nicht auf deinem Gerät — lade ihn zuerst in der Musik-App herunter
  • Musik-App: Beatrunner Pro zeigt Playlists, keine Alben — Playlist erstellen und Songs hinzufügen
  • Dateien-App: Weitere Songs in denselben Ordner legen — Beatrunner Pro aktualisiert beim Zurückkehren zur App

FAQ

Warum funktioniert Streaming-Musik nicht?

Beatrunner Pro analysiert das Tempo aus lokal gespeicherten Audiodateien. DRM-/Streaming-Titel werden nicht unterstützt.

Brauche ich eine Apple Watch?

Nein. Die Apple Watch ist optional und bietet dir Fernsteuerung und Lauf-Infos am Handgelenk.

Add Your Music

Via Music app or Files app

Songs that can be analyzed

  • DRM-free audio files stored locally in the Music app on your iPhone
  • Audio files in a folder linked from the Files app (stored locally on your device)
  • Songs synced from your computer into the Music app
  • Songs purchased from the iTunes Store and stored on your device
  • Common non-DRM formats (e.g., MP3, AAC/M4A, WAV)
  • Not supported: Apple Music streaming (subscription tracks), iCloud-only songs, and DRM-protected content.

How to add your music

  • Both ways: your playlist appears in the Playlists tab. Tap Analyse Playlist before playback.
  • Music app — create a playlist on your iPhone.
  • Files app — in Beatrunner Pro, tap Import from Files app and choose a folder.

Via Files app

Link a folder of audio files

  1. Save audio files locally on your iPhone (e.g. On My iPhone in the Files app)
  2. In Beatrunner Pro: tap Import from Files app and choose a folder
  3. Open Beatrunner Pro — the playlist appears in the Playlists tab as Imported
  4. Tap Analyse Playlist before playback
  • DRM-protected and cloud-only files are not supported.

Via Music app

From your computer

  1. Open the Music app on Mac or iTunes on Windows and create a playlist
  2. Add your DRM-free files to that playlist (e.g., MP3, AAC/M4A, WAV)
  3. Connect your iPhone and sync that playlist to your device
    • Mac: Finder → select your iPhone → Music tab → enable sync, select playlist → Apply
    • Windows: iTunes → select your device → Music → select playlist → Sync
  4. Open Beatrunner Pro — the playlist appears in the Playlists tab
  5. Tap Analyse Playlist before playback

Already in the Music app

  1. Open the Music app on your iPhone and create a playlist
  2. Add songs from your Music library — tracks stored on your device (not from the Files app)
  3. Open Beatrunner Pro — the playlist appears in the Playlists tab
  4. Tap Analyse Playlist before playback
  • For audio files in the Files app, use Via Files app above.

iTunes Store purchases

  1. Open the Music app on your iPhone
  2. Go to Library → Purchased (or find your purchased songs)
  3. Download any tracks that aren't on your device yet (only if they show a cloud icon)
  4. Create a playlist and add those songs
  5. Open Beatrunner Pro — the playlist appears in the Playlists tab
  6. Tap Analyse Playlist before playback

Good to know

  • For iTunes Store purchases: if a song shows a cloud icon, it isn't on your device yet — download it in the Music app first
  • Music app: Beatrunner Pro shows playlists, not albums — create a playlist and add your tracks
  • Files app: add more songs to the same folder — Beatrunner Pro updates when you return to the app

FAQ

Why doesn't streaming music work?

Beatrunner Pro analyzes tempo from locally stored audio files. DRM/streaming tracks are not supported.

Do I need an Apple Watch?

No. Apple Watch support is optional and provides remote control and run info on your wrist.
